Craftsmanship

Built from the
Inside Out.

A watch earns its wrist time in the places nobody photographs: the escapement, the gasket, the underside of the bezel. Here is exactly how ours are made—no adjectives doing work that measurements should.

Movements

Seventeen Calibers.
One Discipline.

Every reference is paired with the caliber the original expects—28,800 vph sweep, hacking seconds, and a regulated -5/+5 seconds per day. Pick a movement to see its jewels, reserve and the models it powers.

Fidelity

Measured,
Not Advertised.

Genuine references sit on the bench beside every build: case diameter and thickness, lug width, weight, dial print geometry, rehaut engraving, serial fonts. Components are machined to interchange with original-compatible parts. Under an expert loupe, differences exist—we would rather you hear that from us than discover it yourself. At arm's length and at dinner, it reads exactly as it should. Want proof it wears right? Customer reviews show these on real wrists, not studio tables.

Materials

Nine Decisions That
Separate Tiers.

Two watches can share a reference number and not share a class. These are the material calls we make on every model—the reasons our pieces sit where they sit.

904L steel bar stock before case forging

904L Oyster Steel

Cases are cold-forged from 904L steel, the same austenitic alloy specified for chemical tanks and offshore rigs. It shrugs off salt, sweat and acid, takes a brighter polish than 316L, and is non-magnetic enough to shield the caliber from everyday electronics.

Waterproofing & Sealing

Every case is pressure-tested both dry and wet before it ships. Synthetic gaskets, a screw-down crown and a sealed case-back keep rain, shower and swim out; dive models add a helium escape valve. Rated to 100 m on divers—we still recommend keeping hot tubs and high-pressure jets off the guest list.

DLC-coated case with matte black finish

DLC Protective Coating

Selected models carry a micron-thin Diamond-Like Carbon layer bonded to the steel. It multiplies surface hardness, so belt buckles, desk edges and door frames stop leaving their signature. The finish is matte, black, and will not flake.

18K gold-wrapped Daytona case

18K Gold & Platinum Wrap

Gold-tone models are finished with a 40-micron 18K layer applied by ion plating with titanium nitride—the most durable plating chemistry available. Platinum-wrap pieces follow the same process. The tone stays true through years of wear; it is not solid gold, and we price it accordingly.

Moissanite stones set on a black Daytona dial

Moissanite Diamonds

On iced references we set laboratory moissanite rather than diamond simulants: 9.5 on the Mohs scale, higher refractive index than diamond, hand-faceted by the same artisans who cut setting seats. Brilliant under any light, honest on the invoice.

2.5x Cyclops date magnification test

Sapphire Crystal

Front and back glass is synthetic sapphire—second only to diamond in hardness. A 2.5x Cyclops lifts the date for a one-glance read, an anti-reflective coat kills the glare, and the crown at six o'clock is laser-etched inside the glass where only you and a loupe will find it.

Ceramic Bezels

Bezel inserts are injection-molded engineering ceramic, fired at high temperature so the color is in the material, not on it. Numerals are coated in gold or platinum and polished flush. Scratches find nothing to grip; UV finds nothing to fade.

Super-Luminous Dial

Hands and hour markers are filled with a strontium-aluminate photoluminescent compound in the blue and green spectrums. A few seconds of light buys four to six hours of glow. Charged by lamp or sun, never by battery.

Dials, Hands & Case-Back

Dials start as brass blanks, then layer by layer: texture, printing, lacquer or electroplate. Hands are diamond-polished before rhodium or gold plating so edges catch light, not fingerprints. The case-back closes the movement in 904L steel, screw-down tight.

Assembly & Testing

Checked Before
You Check It.

Hundreds of parts meet under magnification, then every finished unit faces the same exit exams: timing on the machine, pressure in and out of water, power reserve, date jump, bracelet torque. Fail any one and it never ships.

Straight Answers

Asked, Answered.

How accurate are the movements day to day?

Regulated before shipping, most calibers run within -5/+5 seconds per day, on par with certified Swiss chronometer tolerance. Clone 3235 and 3255 hold the same window with a 70-hour reserve.

Can I swim with one?

Yes on dive references: 100 m rating, synthetic seals, screw-down crown, wet-tested before dispatch. Rinse in fresh water after sea swims and keep hot tubs and pressure jets off limits.

Will the gold fade or chip?

The 40-micron 18K layer is ion-plated with titanium nitride—a molecular bond, not a dip. It will not fade or flake under normal wear; treat it like the plating on any fine pen or frame.

Are moissanite stones obvious next to diamonds?

To the eye, no—moissanite actually refracts more light than diamond. Under a jeweler's loupe a pro can tell; on a wrist, nobody is measuring refractive index at dinner.

What if the watch stops or loses time?

Every unit leaves after timing, water and function tests, and is covered by our warranty. If a movement misbehaves, we service or replace it—details live on the warranty card in the box.
